Triveni Devi Tample

Renowned as the youngest sister of the popular Manakamana Devi, Triveni Devi is also equally revered and respected by the Nepalese who perform pujas with full fervor and faith. There is a belief that worship of the Manakamana Devi is not complete until the holy water from the Triveni Devi Temple is offered. The priests here are of the Gurung tribe and this place can witness huge festive activities during Ekadasi and Shivaratri. The Triveni Temple is located at a distance of only 150 meters from the famous Mugling Bazar, after crossing the suspension bridge. It lies on the confluence of the Trishuli and Marshyangdi rivers which mix to form the Narayani River.

Situated 210 meters above the sea level, this area is well established as a popular tourist attraction. Holding abundance of rich forests with tranquil settings ideal for picnickers, this place is situated in the Manakamana VDC of Gorkha District. Across the Marshyangdi to the right lies the Tanahun District while to the left, across the suspension bridge or in other words across the Trishuli River, is the Chitwan District.

Possessing immense potential for various opportunities, the temple of the Triveni Devi that lies here is being constructed at an amazing pace with the help of sponsors and contributors that is on the rise by the day, as per the seventh descendant present priest, Kabiraj Gurung.
